2022 PICS TO SHARE WITH FRIENDS.
These are private images to share with friends. They are not part of the public website or intended to be egs of professional painting or photography.
The header image is The Manger, periglacial valley viewed from White Horse Hill, just below the White Horse of Uffington.

Violet and orchid. Bluebells at the original entrance to Blackbury Camp hillfort.

The Grand Western Canal, nearest point to me, Sampford Peverell, is nature reserve. There are some nice tree stump sculptures. My T shirt is printed from one of my paintings of Heligan.
Lyme Regis

Charmouth
The beach changes every time, even if you always go on a low spring tide. So do the cliffs. The pics are different areas of cliff.

Cropredy festival was back after being postponed the previous two years. It was probably on the hottest weekend of the year. In addition to the music, this year was special for having a hedgehog visit my tent, and for seeing a Perseid meteor fly over the stage in the middle of Steve Hackett's set.

Cropredy meant I had my first visit up country in 3 years. And a chance to visit the archaeology on the way back. Here are the Rollright Stones. The Whispering Knights are outliers and are a collapsed dolmen, the King Stone, the other outlier, and the main circle, the King's Men.

View from White Horse Hill, just down from the horse. Uffington White Horse from a track up to the Ridgeway.
Swallows nesting in the furthest chamber of West Kennet Longbarrow, entrance to the barrow.
Silbury Hill from West Kennet Longbarrow.
Picture
Cherhill white horse, continuing along the ridge with a barrow on top.
Up at the girls' garden there's been a problem with large rodents. Luckily nature sent a pest controller in the form of Fred the ferret or pole cat.
Cornwall
The Hurlers, stone circles on Bodmin Moor, and Long Tom a few hundred yards away.

Heligan
July visit.

Acrylic on canvas painting of late summer flowers at Heligan.

Par and Polkerris
Detectorists camping, me camping. Spot the similarities of tent and stove. In good nerdy company.
The cold snap.
Here are some of my watercolour pencil paintings of places I've visited. The first two are sweet peas at Heligan, and the River Pol at Polperro. The third is a ruined church in Norfolk, from someone else's image.
In the second row are high tide at Beer, Polkerris beach, and the Glass Sea at Lyme.
